Hello parent
I strongly feel your child should have a
Hemoglobin level checked as well as evidence of
urinary tract infection. Ofcourse, your family doctor, who knows your child is the best person to deal with your child.
1. Prolonged sleeepiness, paleness are early indicators
iron deficiency anaemia.
2. My worry is why is she is like this ? Let us quickly try run through the possiblites.
a. Blood in the stools associated with high grade
fever of more than 104 degree fareinheit is infection, requring antibiotics
b.
Watery stools causing dehydration: not passing urine for more than 8 hours, not even active for a single session in a day requires hospitalisation.
I presume both the conditions are not present
C. Passing motion immediately after stools, green, froth, white threads, noise while passing motion, anus
redness, straining or pain while passing motion, mucus in stools, bad smell, passing very small quantity often: All these ten points point to a digestive problem.
I presume your doctor had this in mind, because this category settles only after 10 to 14 days.
But lips turning blue and purplish suggests there may be a problem outside the gut
Urinary tract infection or some blood problem like anaemia.
That is why I suggest a medical evaluation
