Child Having Itchy Red Rash All Over Torso, Got Black Marks. What Is This And Should I Be Concerned?

My son, 10 years old, had a itchy red rash all over torso. It turned then turned into black marks in the same area and eventually went away. My older son 13, then got it but seems to be taking longer for the black marks to go away. What is this and should I be concerned?
