Child Screaming At Night, Fever. Bleeding From Mouth After Brushing, Swollen Gums, Blisters On Tongue. Are These Related?

My daughter is 23 months. Lately she has been waking up several times a night screaming as if from a bad dream. I noticed fever two nights in a row. Her breath is very bad, and when I tried brushing her teeth she screamed and instantly her mouth was full of blood. I also noticed her gums were swollen. Today I noticed on the tip of her tounge little white blisters/sores. What could this be? What should I do?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Your little daughter is likely to be suffering from viral Hand Foot mouth disease. She has developed boils in her mouth.Does she have difficulty in eating food?

You could give her multivitamins and mouth gel to soothe the pain in the mouth. Also get her examined by her doctor so that diagnosis could be confirmed and treatment instituted.

Regards
Take care.
