Child Started Forming Red Bumps On Her Cheeks When Visiting A Lake Side. Now Spread Over Her Mouth, Eyes. Problem?

Hi, we went camping last night and to a lake today, while at the lake, my 13 month old daughter started forming red bumps all over her cheeks and it started to form on her arms and legs too, so we went home. We have given her plenty of liquids an put sun screen on her while we were there. She fell asleep on the car ride home and when she woke up she had formed redness all over her mouth and under her eyes. What could it be?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi Dear
Welcome to the board of Health care magic.

Dear your daughter has probably developed some allergic phenomenon.
It could be some insect bite as you were out near the lake.

Some other possibilities are that she might have developed allergy to some food which may be tinned with some preservatives.

she requires some antihistamine medicine and if the reaction is intolerable she may be given one or two shots of steroids.
Calamine lotion application over body may act as soothing agent to her.

Hope query is answered

Thanks
