Child Suffering From Chest Congestion, Wheezing, Difficulty In Breathing. Given Mucolite And Feels Fine. Suggest?
My baby is 2 1/2 months old and he is suffering from chest congestion . He makes wheezing noise while sleeping and seems to have difficulty in breathing since last 1 month. My Dr. had suggested Mucolite drops for 3 days, then he was fine. But again the problem started. When I use the medicine he sleeps well and again the problem starts. So, shall i use drops for long time or not. Is there any effect by using this medicine. I am feeding the baby in correct position only.

a 2 and a half month baby presenting with such symptoms is not normal.repeated chest infection needs to be evaluated.what type of feed you are giving to your baby breast feeding or bottle feeding.if being bottle fed thn plz stop it at once because it can cause repeated chest infections.after feeding please put your baby on your shoulder and do proper burping as even repeated back reflux of stomach contents in mouth is also responsible for these symptoms.if these problems are checked and problem persists thn you need to evaluate your baby properly by an expert.hoping a speedy recovery for your baby.
