Child Suffering From Fever, Moist Sounding Cough, Purple Mottled Skin On Limbs, No Rashes. What Could This Be?
My 5year old daughter has had a fever for the past few days between 39 degrees and 40 degrees. It comes down to 38 following the use of ibuprofen . She is still happy and active and has a moist sounding cough ,but this evening I have noticed that she has purple mottled skin to her legs and her arms. Her trunk is ok and she has no rashes
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum,
This might be a viral exanthematous rash which is normal skin rash to a simple viral fever but its always safe to get it evaluated by a pediatrician as she might need some blood tests done to rule out other causes of fever as the fever has been there for few days.
Take care
