Child Unable To Sit, Hold Things In Hand, Seizure Before. How Long To Continue Levipil Syrup?
Hello Dr. Kondekar, My daughter (one year old) is unable to sit and hold the things in her hand . When she was 6 to 7 day old she had a repeated seizer attack and our family doctor suggested levi pil syrup and sodium valproate oral solution. Could you please tell me how many months or years we have to take the above recommended medicine or suggest me good pediatrician near by Miraj or Sangli.

Your child is having neuro developmental problem most probably cerebral palsy with developmental delay (more motor delay) and with seizure disorder according to your history. So consult Pediatrician and neurologist near by you and plan for a comprehensive multidisciplinary management approach including physiotherapy. As you are using 2 drugs to control seizures already you have to continua for prolonged periods as child is having underlying neurological problems .
