Child Vomiting After Eating. US Showed Surviving On One Swollen Kidney. What Can Be Done?

Hi Doctor.. I have a 5 year old Neice and all of sudden she started having vomiting after having food and with the recommendation of local doctor we went for a ultrasound and through which we got to know that she is surviving only on one Kidney which is further swollen up/has a bigger size. I would like to know what can be done and will she be able to stay healthy through rest of her life and not sure of the swelling in kidney is it due to pressure on one kidney or can be because of any further complications. The local doctor mentioned the term Hydroureteronephrosis.. not sure what is it or what treatment is required.. Please suggest.

Hi, it appears to be due to the kink or some obstruction to the ureter and causing back flow of urine and swelling of the kidney. Other cause could be nephroticsyndrome.
I advise you to consult a nephrologist for diagnosis an dtreatment.
Thank you.
