Child With A Pus Filled Bump On The Back Of The Thigh. Need To Go To Doctor?
My 5 year old son woke one morning with a bump on the back of his thigh that proceeded to get bigger and resembled a pimple or ingrown hair , the top of the bump turned black and the bump looked red with puss underneath, his dad put ointment on it, it didn t go away. This morning his dad checked on it and blood and green puss oozed out. Is it time to take him to the dr.?

Give him oral antibiotics for 7 days.
Give him paracetamol for pain.
Apply antibiotic ointment to that area thrice daily for 10 days.
