Child With Constant Screaming, Aggressive Behaviour. On Antibiotics For Chest Infection. Suggest To Calm The Child Down

My 34 months old has decided to scream all day long. For the past week he has decided that nothing can please him and so he screams. I try playing with him, but he cries/screams. I try letting him be alone, still screams. I try doing his favourite things ....no luck. I can't even think about taking him out to a store or restaurant. He doesn't want to sleep, but sometimes he watches cartoons. When he is extremely tired he falls asleep. He is just recovering from chest infection and is still taking antibiotics. In the same time he is constantly rubbing his eyes, what I don't see associated with that infection. He's aggressive to all of us, his sister, mother and father. He will scream for hours, will punch and push us away and when we leave him alone he wants us to come back just to repeat what he did before. Please help if you have any suggestions! thanks!!!

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi dear,
welcome to the HCM
Possibilities of developing such behavior during the treatment of RTI;-

Many times there is earache due to otitis media.

Often bronchodilators are used for cough etc over doses may cause such symptoms.

Pinworm may cause such irritation at the anal region.

Some allergic irritation/itching may also cause.

Hope the query is answered.
Thanks
