HI,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

There are certain danger signs if associated with fever one should go to the emergency immediately.

They are

1. Poor feeding
2. Vomiting
3. Loss of conscciousness
4. Seizures

There are several conditions which are associated with fever and rash. Measles, chicken pox, various viral fevers etc etc.

Hope this helps
Take care

Pediatrician Dr. Synthyia Bhagat's  Response
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Fever with respiratory symptoms and rash points towards some viral illness.
Since fever is high grade i suggest you to take her to doctor for re evaluation.
In the meantime give acetaminophen every 4 to 6 hourly till fever is above 100F.
Do tepid sponging to bring fever down.
Give plenty of fluids and soft bland diet to maintain nutrition and hydration.
Apply calamine 2 to 3 times over rashes and if there is itching you can give benadryl as per dosage after consulting your doctor.

Wishing your child good health.
God bless.
