Child With Fever, Throat Hurts, Tired. What Can Be Done?

Hi my daughter is 3 yrs old, has been having a fever since last Friday the 5th and its controlled every 4 hours with Tylenol. She is complaining that her throat hurts and is extremely tired since then. She has been sleeping a lot, for example yesterday she woke up at 8am didn't really play just laid on the couch pretty much all day. Took an 1.5 hr nap woke up for about 2 hours, not really active at all and went to sleep for the night at 7:30pm till 8am this morning, only because I woke her up. The babysitter said after I left this morning she took 2 bites of a waffle and went back to sleep for about 2 hours. She went to her 2 hour play activity at the YMCA and I was told she didn't do much, picked her up and she fell a sleep in the car all the ride home. This is not typical of her even when she is sick with a cold or ear infection. Should I be worried enough to take her to the ER?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
She may be suffering from OSA(Obstructive Sleep Apnea) due to Adenoid hypertrophy. This is due to acute infection in Upper respiratory tract obstructing her Nasopharyngeal airway. Usually size of the Adenoid may come down with antibiotics and decongestants. If not subsiding with this medications, to confirm this child may need X-ray for Adenoids(Skull base Lateral view for Soft tissues)
If the enlargment is severe grade like Grade III or IV your daughter may need to under go Adenoidectomy after confirmation with X ray and Endoscopy
