Child With Lumps On Ears And Hands And Itchy. Flucloxicillin Of No Help. What Is This?

My daughter who is 9 years had a few white small raised lumps on her ear and also skin coloured raised lumps on both hands. I took her to the doctors and he gave her a course of Flucloxicillin. She has now finished this and these raised lumps have now spread all over both ears are itchy and her skin has slightly blistered in one area, not sure if this is due to her scratching. I have had her on Pyriton for 3 days but nothing is helping. What is this?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

From your description of the rash it appears that your 9 yrs old daughter is suffering from Acute Urticaria which is an allergic rash. You need to continue with Pyriton .You could apply calamine lotion on the rash which will soothe her.

If her rash is not getting better then get her re-examined so that the doctor could add on steroids to stop the allergic rash.

Bye
Take care.
