Child With Occasional Blood In Urine And At The Tip Of Penis. What Could Be The Cause?

For some time now I notice my 6 yr old son occasionally will have blood in his urine and at the tip of his penis , his underwear would also have light blood stain marks after he urinates. He said there was no pain at all however, this morning he said his penis was hurting and the blood mark was at the tip of his penis when i wipe it gently. Can you say what could be the cause?

This might be an infection in the urethra, or an injury/abrasion to the urethra. You need to have his urine checked for infection. If that is not the problem he must see a urologist for a examination. Discuss with him in private to make sure there's no risk of any sexual abuse. Make sure that his personal hygiene is adequate, And that no habits of his could be causing this. I trust this information is helpful. Please feel free to ask for any other queries.
