Child With Reddish Sore In The Palatoglossal Arch. History Of Asthma. What Is It?
my daughter who is 10 next week has redness along the edge of her palatoglossal arch. She says its sore and has had it for several weeks now. She has gargled regularly with a weak solution of tcp which helps with the soreness but its not healed. should I be worried? she is a fit and healthy girl of average weight and height. she does have asthma but not bad usually brought on by colds and cold air.
From your description it appears that your daughter is suffering from Pharyngitis. Most of the time this is caused by virus and bacteria.
Is she on inhalers for her asthma ?Sometimes if steroids are given it gets deposited on the throat and causes sore throat.
Since the soreness is going on for several days you should get her examined by the doctor so that few investigations can be done and treatment instituted.
