Child With Small Reddish Bumps, Reddish In Colour And Painful. Any Home Remedy?

My 3 Year old son has a small semi circle of tiny reddish/ dry looking bumps. He says it hurts him every time I try and touch them. Our cats do not have claws and when he showed me he told me he scratched it. It just doesn t look like a scratch or a rash . He has no fever or other symptoms. Is this something that warrants a doctor s visit or possibly just some home remedies?

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

For how long has the bump been present and is it increasing in size? By the description provided by you it appears to be urticaria. However urticaria usually comes in crops. Apply some calamine lotion and observe for a day or two. In case it increases then it shall be advisable to consult your doctor.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your son all the best.

Regards,

RKK
