General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* There seems blood loss in the intestine tract giving black stools and that is the main area of concern to get evaluated for all the series of events.
* Ideal approach would be the stool microscopy with lab tests and colonoscopy at first instance with secondary treatment figured out depending upon the cause and severity of the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
