hi,
thank you for providing the brief history of you,
As you mentioned you had OHS, were you recommended
physical therapy post that? If so, then there are exercises which includes the upper limb movement and also the breathing exercises which helps move the muscles and the retrain the respiratory system as per the OHS.
Also, due to the incision performed there will be a restriction of the mobility of the joints like the sternoclavicular joint, which needs a mobility at the early stages of OHS.
As you had pnuemonia as well, i will advice to do regular breathing exercises, as lungs needs exercises, medication are all symptomatic, but the healing and regeneration of the cells is performed by the body itself.
So i will advice you to see a physical therapist for relief in pain as well as learning the proper breathing exercises.
As per my personal experience, i have made a 18 weeks
rehabilitation plan for my patients and i have not received any complaints since the precaution was mentioned and controlled exercises were implemented from day one.
I wish you recover soon.
Regards
