Chronic Gastric Patient With Gas And Irregular Bowel Habits, Have Lethargy, Low Confidence, Disinterest In Work. Is It Due To Poor Digestive System?

I am a chronic gastric patient for last 20 years. There is formation of gas with irregular bowl habits.I feel no interest in work and feel lethargic and lack motivation. Always feeling low esteem and lack confidence. Is it due to depression or poor digestive system. Please suggest treatment as well........

Hi
Gastric problems, gas and poor bowel activity does not affect behaviour problems.
It is a psychiatric related problem.
So plz consult a psychiatric for behaviour problem.
And plz take proper balanced diet and increase rouphage in your food.
Have heavy breakfast,medium calories lunch and low calories dinner. Ths will improve your bowel habits.

Thanks for writing your query.

After reading your query, I would like to suggest that you should take an antacid like Omeprazole 40 mg along with Domperidone 30 mg once a day before meals.

A digestive enzyme preparation containing pepsin and fungal diastase will also be helpful.

Following precautions will be helpful :-
1. Avoid spicy and oily foods.
2. Do not miss a meal.
3. Avoid smoking and alcohol.
4. Drink lots of water daily.
5. You should do exercise daily in fresh air.
6. Yoga and meditation will be helpful.
7. Always lead a positive life.
