Chronic Pain Due To Neck Injury, Cervical Distomony. Addicted To Percocet, Fentanyl Patch. Is Tridural Good?

Hi Doctor, I suffer from chronic pain due to a neck injury and cervical distomony of 3 discs fused with lots of metal around them. I have been off pain meds for 4 years and can no longer tolerate the pain. I m going back to school in January which requires a lot of sitting. In the past, I became addicted to Percocet and the fentanyl patch. What is the best type of non-narcotic like meds? Is tridural good? Thank you, Ann P.S. should I use flexerill or another muscle relaxant as well? I have hep c.

The non opioid pain killers have a lower addictive potential but have a lower efficacy too. You can start with Tridural and see if it helps. Using a muscle relaxant like Flexerill is also recommended.
