Clear Fluid Secretion From Nostrils. Earlier Had Nose Bleeds After Surgery For Nasal Polyps. Is This Serious?
Since I had surgery to reduce the sizes of nasal polyps almost 10 years ago, I have had recurrent nose bleeds from my left nostril. Often just before or after my monthly period. Only during pregnancy did it stop and since childbirth 2 years ago, it has become infrequent. However I have been stressed lately and have woken up feeling like I'm about to have a nosebleed but instead get clear fluid coming out of the same left nostril. I have also been anaemic and prescribed iron supplements over the last 10 years.
Hello, You must notice first that the fluid drips on its own without cold , or there is cold and the discharge is not watery but mucus? YOu should consult your ent specialist for that. If its mucus or blood then you can take normal saline nose drops and put in nose two times a day. Secondly you an use neosporin ointment for local application in nose two times a day. Get ent consultation. In doubt do reply
