Hello, As always its very hard to tell without a full examination. But it sounds like you got something called, Costochondritis if i spelled it right, its also called Tietzes syndrome. Costochondritis causes chest pain that is related to inflammation of cartilage in your rib cage. It affects the cartilage where upper ribs attach to the breastbone. It is referred to as the costosternal joint. It could be because of physical strain or a minor injury, of repeated coughing, actully my sisters husband got this by repeated coughing, and was in much pain, it could also be because of snezing, vomiting or impacts to the your chest. If you are in alot of pain you should get to your nearest hospital and get a full examination, because nobody deserve being in pain. I wish you all luck! hope this helpd.
