Coarsening Of The Interstitial Markings Found Through Chest X-ray. Any Significance?
Non smoker. Never had any problems with lungs. Overweight but working on it. Chest x-ray results are marked coarsening of the interstitial markings. Underlying interstitial disease is not excluded and correlation with clinical findings and possibly CT is encouraged. I get short of breathe because I'm overweight and haven't been exercising but once I start exercising and losing wt. that problem doesn't exist. So why would I have these markings and what do they mean. From online it's basically saying it's a lung disease with no cure.
See an xray reading is very subjective to interpret. Even a mild grade infection will give reticulation and interstitial markings on the xray. Hence the best suggestion is to get a ct scan of the chest done to rule out every possibility of interstitial disease.
