Cold, Chest Congestion, Cough, Yellow Gold Color Snot. Is A Steroid Injection Recommended On Day Of Wedding?
I've had a cold for 11 days now. I have really bad chest congestion and coughing. My snot is a gold yellow color and thick. I've been using the netty pot 3-4 times a day. When I blow my nose my ears pop. I'm currently taking a z-pack antibiotic. My wedding is tomorrow. Is a steroid injection recommended the day of my wedding to decrease symptoms for my wedding/ cruise?
Hello, normally in infections we do not prescribe steroids But if you need a symptomatic relief then you can take it. but better is take oral medication as steroid injection will take a week to build up and then the effect lasts for 3-4 weeks. Steroid tablet can give you better short term relief and in less dose. In addition Azithromycin is not meant for lower respiratory tract infections ,,, you can take Levofloxacin. Take Cough syrups for symptomatic relief take mucinac tablet And also can use Xylometazoline nose drops to decrease nasal congestion.
