Hi myself , I am always having cold (runny nose ) for the past 6 months. My doctor gave me different medicines but those are of no user. Recently he advised me to take L Montus tablet. I am continuing this for 1 month but there is no improvement only that I am always feeling drowsy. He told me that this is something related to post nasal secretion . Am always carrying a kerchief because of this non stop runny nose. Can someone please suggest me any best medicine to get rid of this annoying cold. My Age is 28 and my gender is Male. I dont have allergy or any such problems for any medicine.
Hi,
continuous nasal discharge could most of the time imply you have an allergic rhinitis. left untreated, nearby structures could be predisposed to infection causing sinusitis or ethmoiditis, which are far more serious health conditions.
Treatment of allergic rhinitis usually ranges from using nasal sprays, topical anti histaminic drug drugs, systemic anti histaminic drugs, steroids and cortico steroid nasal sprays. A good clinical evaluation by your physician or at times the ENT specialist to rule out nasal polyps might be needed. Appropriate treatment is based on the exact diagnosis.
Consulting your ENT specialist could be a great idea for better evaluation and appropriate treatment.
Hope this helps as I wish you the best of health,
Luchuo, MD.
