Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello there,
Many babies suffer from shortness of breath when they are young. This is called frequent wheezing and usually disappears after 5 years of age. During an episode of cough with wheeze, management usually involves asthalin and steroid puffs.
It is unlikely that the your viral infection is responsible for all the episodes of cough and cold in your child. However drugs like wysolone need to be tapered over a period of time to avoid its long term complications.
Take care.
