Cold, Cough, Nasal Congestion, Wheezy Noise While Breathing. Should I Meet A Doctor?
Healthy 32 yr old female. No current meds. Have had a chest cold for 5 days with cough and nasal congestion. Cough has produced very thick yellow sputum once(usually can't cough anything up). When I take a really deep breath a weird almost wheezy noise can be heard deep in my chest. Should I go to the walk in clinic or wait a few more days?
Ideally if you have a viral infection, it should start to subside in 7-10 days. As of now these signs are not alarming; you could wait for couple of more days. if you have fever and if your symptoms worsen, you may have to visit the doctor who could rule out secondary bacterial infection and start you on antibiotics if required.
