Cold With Sinus Congestion. Pain In The Jaw. Swollen Itchy Gums. Why?
I have had a cold with severe sinus congestion for two weeks. I did go to the MD and there was no infection/ fever . The pressure from the congestion had been making my jaw (upper and lower) hurt. The cold is now subsiding and the sinuses are now clearing. However, the gums of my upper and lower jaw are now swollen and itchy. Why? It s driving me crazy!
Hello & welcome
Don't worry you have gingivitis so you are feeling itching & swelling in your gums.
You have to maintain proper oral hygiene, start doing warm saline rinses 2-3 times a day, chlorhexidine mouth wash twice daily, & massage of your gums with tannic acid gum paint, you will start getting relief as you said that your sinusitis is also subsiding.
take care & thanks.
