Hi, I am 66 year old male. I have a complex medical history, and have been a heavy drinker since late youth. I have a very arthritic left shoulder which is due to be operated on. One operation on it was cancelled due to an infection, which turned out to be infected glands. This was treated with antibiotics AND penicillin. The operation has been delayed due to possible lymphoma, but now seems on track. During this time I developed a strong and unusual body odor, which I hate, and which varies between the smell of ammonia and chlorine, or similar. Like some of your other members, this is a mystery, I have not mentioned this to my doctor yet, mainly due to forgetfulness, but also due to my almost constant presence at the surgery. I have had very little alcohol in the past few months, but have not totally abstained. I shower every morning and am scrupulously clean. Thank in anticipation.
