Consistent Shoulder Pain Originating In Muscles, Difficulty In Raising Hand, Tingling In Upper Back. Cause?

For the past 2 1/2 months I have been have this pain in my right shoulder. It feels like it originates in the muscle, but it could be the nerves. It hurts so bad sometimes that I have trouble sleeping. I can't raise my right arm over my head, I have trouble washing my left armpit when I am in the shower, and if I should happen to bump my right arm on something, it shoots a terrible pain throughout my whole arm. I also have some tingling in the upper part of my back.

Hello,

The pain may have two origins.
1. The history is suggestive of injury to the shoulder muscles(Not able to raise the arm).
2. Involvement of the nerves(tingling pain). The involvement may be at the cervical level. Cervical Spondylosis.
MRI of the shoulder and the cervical spine will help in arriving at a diagnosis.
Consult an orthopedician for help.
