Constant Feeling Of Belching After Eating Increased After Intake Of Medication For High BP And Cholesterol. Suggest
Hello Doc., I am 55 year old male, I am having this constant feeling of belching, especially after i eat. Recently I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and my last reading was 150/100.
I am on BP and cholesterol medication for a week now and they seem to worsen the situation.
Due to this I am off my routine for a week now and am at home resting most of the time. The constant belching also upsets my mood and makes me feel gloomy. I have lost my appetite and feel like taking my meds as early as I can, because I feel like my BP may shoot up.
Hi, Thanks for posting your query. I am Dr.Ratnakar Kini and I am pleased to assist you.
The blood pressure and cholesterol medications may not be responsible for this. You have dyspeptic symptoms. Since you are more than 50 years and that you have lost appetite and is having dyspeptic symptoms, I would suggest you to undergo an upper GI endoscopy for evaluation. If the blood glucose has not been checked already, get it checked also. Regards, Dr.Ratnakar Kini
