Constant Numbness And Pain In Right Arm All The Way Down To Fingers. Installs Carpeting For Living. Advice

For a about 2 weeks now my husband has been experiencing almost constant numbness and pain of his entire right arm all the way down to his fingers, He doesn't sleep on it ,but has a hard time making the arm comfortable to sleep which has become almost impossible. He installs carpeting for a living ,but he hasn't hurt his arm doing his work or anything else for that matter. What could cause this and what can we do to help get some relief? Please HELP!!

Hello,
Welcome at HCM.

I have read complete details of your question.

It looks that your husband is involved with heavy work. The pain in his limb is neurologic pain which can be there due to-

-Stretching of nerves during heavy work.

-Compression of nerve in spine due to prolapsed disc or enlarged bone like in spondylosis.

All this needs to be assessed by an orthopedic surgeon. You should consult to him.

He may prescribed a MRI or NCV /EMG investigation to know about the reason for problem.

At present he may have a good analgesic like combination of tramadol with paracetamol for relief.

He should be away from heavy work, till he gets relief.

Hope this all will help you.

With best wishes.
