Constant Severe Cough, Hitting Of Upper And Lower Teeth While Coughing, Pain In Neck, Jaw And Ear, Swollen Throat. On Advil. Advice

I have had a cough for some time. I take allergy drops,I take Nexium, I cough endlessly. The teeth (upper and lower) right side of my mouth have started to RRALLY bother me. I figured it was from coughing too hard and teeth are hitting together. But now I have extreme pain into neck, jaw & ear.....on right side. Feeling like the throat is swollen when I swallow. I just to Advil. I do not know who to call. .....ENT or dentist. I have ice on my face. Teeth also hurt when touched together. What can I do?

Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.

After reading your post, it seems that you might be having upper respiratory tract infection and needs medical attention.

You should get a throat swab culture done to know the infective organism and the appropriate antibiotic for it.

You should take an antihistamine like cetrizine 10 mg along with a decongestant like phenylephrine. Continue taking advil after meals.

I would also suggest that you should get yourself clinically examined by an ENT specialist.

I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
