Constipated, Had Loose Motions. Taken Lime Soda. What Is Wrong?
I am 22, male. I have been having loose motion with bouts of constipation since 3 days. Though not very continuous, I go to the toilet every 2 or 3 hours. Usually, my loose motion stops in half a day or 1 day. But this is quite unusual as the problem is persisting on the third day. I had temperorary relief after taking sips of lime soda last evening. I thought it s over. But after waking up today morning; the condition is back to square one.and the hunger is gone since then. Please help
The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be due to: 1. Irritable bowel syndrome 2. Any infection in the Gastrointestinal tract 3. Irregular dietary habits
Symptomatic management involves maintaining optimum hydration status and electrolyte balance & having a plain, soft diet.
But, it will be better to consult your Physician and get a proper clinical examination done. If any infective cause is suspected, then subsequent management should be done by administration of antibiotics. Investigation like Stool examination, Ultrasound scan of abdomen & colonoscopy will be helpful.
Wishing you a Good Health. Take care
