Continued Long Periods After Being On Depo, Painful Intercourse. Pain Due To Periods Or Due To Being On Depo?

Hi , I m going through a situation with me being on depo , This is my very first time being on birth control. I ve been on depo for 3 months now and been on my period for almost 2 weeks. Now that I am slightly getting off i had sexual intercourse with my boyfriend and when we was doing it , it was very painful so I m not sure if my period is not done or if the depo is causing it to be painful. Please Help! Thank you.

In my opinion Medroxyprogesterone have adverse effects of irregular / unpredictable/ prolonged bleeding or spotting, and heavy bleeding.
