Hi and thanks for the query,

It is important first to get your blood pressure levels controlled properly. I advise my patients, to get a normal blood pressure levels, taken 5 minutes after resting under standard conditions to ascertain whether the headache is actually due to blood pressure hikes or not.

Having headaches for the past two days could also be due to something else. It might however be interesting to know if you stopped your medication or altered your medication lately. I am afraid high blood pressure and heart disease do increase risk for having stroke as you rightly put it. But the good news is that when the blood pressure is well controlled and cardiologist follows up the heart condition, you shall for sure lead a normal stroke free life.

I do suggest you consult your primary care physician and maintain your healthy life style habits (diet, low salt, low alcohol, no tobacco advised, low saturated fat and exercise/vegetable/fruit rich diet). Thanks and kind regards as I do hope this helps.
