Coould The Inflamed Dry Pores Be Sign Of Acute Hiv Infection?
Hi I am a 23 y/o male 6ft tall and 180 lbs. I had unprotected sex, with a girl who seems like she sleeps around a lot, 36 days ago. I have been experiencing multiple symptoms that could be related to an acute HIV infection. Ten days ago I notice an area on my leg where a group of about 5-10 pores were inflamed, dry and the skin around them was peeling. I have always had sensitive skin and bad skin on my legs, buttocks, and back. Ingrown hairs and a red bumpy butt are common for me. But usually it gets worse in the summer. It is winter and it seems to be a little more troublesome than usual. Coould the inflamed, dry pores and the increase in inflamed pores in general be a sign of acute hiv infection?

You exposure was definitely a risky one, unprotected sex with a stranger of unknown status.
Since it has already been well past a month, since you had that sexual exposure, therefore I would suggest you to get an antibody screening test for HIV. Antibodies to HIV usually becomes detectable test in about a month's time, however, if this turns out to negative, a repeat test at 3 months is recommended to cover for the window period of HIV infection, which if negative would definitely rule out HIV.
Regarding your concern as to whether the inflammed pores could be an indication of HIV, I must say that it is not very likely due to HIV as they are not specific enough to be AIDS defining and can occur otherwise as well.
Always practice safe sex with a condom.
