Cough For 3 Weeks, Foamy Sticky Mucus, Causing Spasms, Pin Pricks In Lower Back. Stopped Smoking

I have had a cough for 3 weeks with foamy clear sticky mucus. It has developed and is now causing spasms where it feels like my throat is closed and for seconds i cannot breathe. I am also getting the feeling of 1,000 tiny pin pricks in my lower back when coughing but it goes away as quickly as it starts. I am an ex smoker stopped 7 months ago.. 49 years old. Otherwise fit and healthy. Never been asmatic.

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having chronic bronchitis.
Take some broncho dilator medicine and cough suppressant.
Go for one antibiotic medicine course to cure bacterial infection.
Do deep breathing exercise daily.
Pain in lower back might be due to back muscle strain due to coughing.
Avoid dusty atmosphere.
Avoid fried and junk food.
Ok and take care.
