Coughing And Vomiting In Mornings. Habit Of Smoking And Occasional Drinking. Taking Tablets. Suggestions?

I have a son who is 25 years old, a smoker, drinks occasionally but nearly every morning he wakes up, coughs then vomits. It is clear and he has been to the doctors 3 times, different ones to get opinions and they all say it it reflux. It doesn't matter when he takes the tablet they have given him he just vomits in the morning. Son says it is mucus only, no colour but why?

Hi ! Based on the smoking history of your son, I would suggest you to consult your doctor for an X ray chest so that any chest condition producing lot of mucus coming out as a vomiting can be excluded. If it is excluded, then further investigations and management in the lines of reflux may be initiated. I wish your son an early recovery. Thanks.
