Could BP Meds And Synthroid Lead To Medicine Interaction?

hello, just wondering if when you take BP meds and Synthroid at the same time, is it suppose to cause you to flush. What are the interaction issues and should they be taken at separate times. I am prescribed these meds and taken them both in the a.m. I do not have a thyroid.

Hello,

Synthroid does not have any interactions with any blood pressure medications, and they can be taken together or separately. If you are having flushing, it would likely not be because of these two medications together, though there are blood pressure medications, such as beta-blockers, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, and calcium channel blockers, that can cause flushing and could be the cause of this in your case.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
