Could Cymbalta Withdrawal Cause Fatigue, Lightheadedness And Nausea?

Here goes...I m weak, light headed, a little nauseous, sleepy. Could this be an inner ear infection? Also, I do have history of ulcers, and bleeding ulcer, but no vomiting of blood or blood in stools at this time. I am anemic, I have high blood pressure (well controlled by medication) I had an injection of about 2 weeks ago, for chronic low back pain. I have just recently had dental work, including 2 extractions. I am going to have bile duct obstruction surgery in the near future, I go for preop consult on the 17th and will be scheduled for surgery then. I have been off of my cymbalta for 5-6 days. No money for refill. any idea what might be wrong?

Hi,

Usually one experiences some withdrawal symptoms e.g nausea, lightheadedness after stopping Cymbalta. This will wear off after a couple of days. You mentioned that you are anemic, but did not give a level. First and foremost you must visit your gastroenterologist to follow up your ulcers. In case your blood counts are low, it will contribute to your fatigue. Its better to get treatment for your ulcers and treat anemia before you go for your surgery. Regarding your inner ear, if you experience any hearing impairment or pain or discharge it is unrelated to Cymbalta then you may visit an ENT doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
