A friend who is 88 years old was diagnosed with pneumonia (she has been to the doctor and was given antibiotics) She has taken the medicine now for about 4 days. My question is: should I be afraid of visiting her? (I am 81 years old and I know that my immune system is low.)
Its better to avoid meeting for 1-2 week since your immunity is low. Pneumonia is infection of lung and it is very well documented and proven that it can spread by aerosol route by coughing, sneezing etc. So better to avoid meeting but still you wantto meet, put face mask 1st and than visit.
