Could I Still Have An Undetectable Infection Despite No Bacteria Growth And 2-4 Pus Cells In My Semen Culture?
Hi, please I recently did a semen culture test to check for bacteria because I was having a discharge from the penis and some sensation. The result show no bacteria growth but 2-4 puss cell. I aslo did a semen analysis and no bacteria was detected. Do I still have an undetectable infection?
The most accurate test to detect pus in semen is semen culture. If there is pus, and bacteria found in the semen culture, then, the infection is present and should treat it with the most adequate antibiotic. I advise to always use protection measures when having sex, do not change sex partners often, and keep a good personal hygiene.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
