Could Marijuana Consumption Be The Cause For Oesophagus Cancer?
I have been diagnosed with barretts esophagus, with signs of displasia, am a 24 year old white male. wondering if i should be concerned with how much marijuana consume daily could be making my condition worsen or increase my risk of esophageal cancer. Average gram a day for 8 years roughly.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Marijuana contains cancer causing ingredients which can lead to development of cancers of various body organs. Barretts esophagus has a very high chance of developing into esophageal carcinoma. Consumption of marijuana will increase the rate of development of esophageal cancer many-fold. Thus, stopping the consumption of marijuana is recommended else the incidence of esophageal carcinoma is high.
