Could Megace Be The Cause For Swelling And Pain In Knees And Ankles?
I ve been on Megase for 2 months! I m a 37 yr old male! I ve gained 25 lbs so far but in the last 3 wks I ve had what I think is severe rheumatoid arthritis! My knees & ankles are so swollen and hurt so bad all in my joints & nerves! I was also diagnosed with L3 Ridiculopathy! Is this correlated or do you think the megase is causing the ra? I follow up with my doctor on Monday! Thanks for any answers you can give! Rob
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.
No nothing in your case is related to this swelling and rheumatoid arthritis. It has altogether a different etiology. May be some autoimmune process or anything else that will pop up on investigations.
Consult your physician for complete evaluation and treatment.
Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.
Have a wonderful time ahead.
Best Regards!
