Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Could Mirena IUD Insertion Cause Lower Abdominal Pain With Sweating, Nausea And Vomiting?
I had the mirena IUD placed over a year ago and everytime I walk, whether it is just going to the grocery or chasing the kids around I cramp and bleed. About 3 weeks ago i had severe tramatic pain in my lower left abdomen which led to sweating, nausea, the need to go to the bathroom and followed with an intense urge to throwup, cold shakes and the inability to walk due to pain and fear of fainting. Is this normal for the IUD?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if the IUD is there and experienced some symptoms then it need to be removed and no chance need to be taken this is ideal way, so it is most advisable to get the IUD out, chances of infection may be very likely with the formation lesion, hope this information helps, take care.
