Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
dear sir,I am having cold and cough periodically since from 2008.I had been taking tablets for that .All the doctors whom i consulted told that it s an allergy. Now i am taking MonDeslor tabet.but I am often feeling sore throat, should i discontinue the tablet?please tell me.I am 19 now.
The best thing you can do is to avoid the allergen causing your problem, like cold weather, dust, pollen etc. I would also suggest you to see an ENT specialist for proper check up to know the cause, because there can be so many causes in your nose, throat and even ear which will cause these symptoms.
Mondeslor contain Montelukast and Desloratadine both of which can be used for allergic condition but I would not suggest a long term use without proper ENT consultation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Zia Ul Haq, General & Family Physician
