Could Oxycodone Be Causing Headaches?

My oncologist prescribed Oxycodone 5MG IMM REL tablets. I took one, but that was too strong. Took half with the same result. Took 1/4 and that was just about right, but the drug is causing headaches.

My doctor's nurse called me on another matter, so I asked her how to prevent the headache, but she didn't know. She also said my doctor is away for the week, so for an answer I'll need to wait until next week.

I like the pain relief I'm getting from this drug, but not the headache. Today I'm just looking at the pill bottle with dread because trading one pain for another seems useless.

Is there a way to take this drug AND prevent the headache?

If you can help, thanks in advance,
