Could Predisnone Causes Heart Palpitations?

Hi today is my last day of taking prednisone after being sun poisoned. I reduced my oral intake of this medication until it was completed. During this time I've experienced heart palpitations in the evening and insomnia. The max dosage was 60mgs first day then gradually reduced by 10mgs until completed, roughly 6days. My question are those normal side effects for short term usage and how long will i experience those side effects since I've completed my required dosages

As you mentioned that you were taking prednisolone in tappers form from 60 mg to 10 mg within a six days period .
Palpitation and insomnia are not the side effects of prednisolone direct way .
Short term uses don't causes much side effects but long term uses are most serious as it produces , Cushing's syndrome, edema, fluid retension, indigestion , acne, weight gain, depression ( so in you case palpitation and insomnia may be due to depression ) & bloody /black stools.
Within next 2 to 4 days prednisolone will not remain in body .
