Could Progynova Affect The Fetus If Taken During Pregnancy?
I am preparing for a fresh Ivf cycle and my doctor prescribed progynova 2mg 2times/day from day 20 of the cycle until we start the protocol (around day 2-4 of my period which should come on 26 of jan I started with Progynova on 17 jan but now getting worried I might be pregnant and if so progynova could hurt the fetus I do not want to stop the Ivf process because we planned it for months What should I do?
Use of this medicine is not recommended if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy in immediate future. Contact your doctor if you suspect a pregnancy while being treated with this medicine.Progynova treatment should be withdrawn immediately. The results of most epidemiological studies to date relevant to inadvertent foetal exposure to oestrogens indicate no teratogenic or foetotoxic effects so there is no need to stop ivf.All the best
